DATAHUB MARKS A NEW ERA FOR HOW A SECTOR CAN WORK TOGETHER AND BENEFIT FROM SHARED INTELLIGENCE

DataHub

Real-world analytics are powerful and persuasive. Data is at the heart of successful organisations within the sport and leisure sector. It is quickly changing the way businesses operate and demonstrate the worth of their work.

WHAT IS DATAHUB?

The DataHub is a repository for sport and leisure data, integrated and enhanced through a suite of participation and business intelligence modules, accessed anywhere via a single online portal.

The aim of the DataHub is to get a nation more active and healthier by sharing up to date intelligence, so those investing within the sector can make more informed decisions.

BACKGROUND

The DataHub project was launched in 2013 as an automated way for all sport, leisure and physical activity providers across the sector to securely bring their data together, align it with consistent sector data standards and then access and share business intelligence and best practice, at the point of decision.

The result is that all DataHub Club members now access accurate reporting information, relative benchmarks and actionable operational solutions, based on a growing repository of over 300+ million participation visits from over seven million individuals. Knowing what works best, where and when, is impacting physical activity participation and subsequent economic and social returns. As importantly, outcomes are now being monitored and evidenced, creating a continuous cycle of improvement.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Each operator or delivery partner signs a Data Use Agreement that allows anonymous data to be securely transferred to the DataHub repository via an established integration with the main leisure management and participation registration system providers.

The data is then standardised. This creates comparable sector-wide intelligence, enabling every operator and delivery partner to leverage this through a suite of specialist partner modules.
